The Modern Fold

Sculpted Manipulation - Off the Body

Context:

Feminine minimalism

Body shape alienation

The new fold: a modern androgynous generation

Shape:

Masculine silhouette with feminine fabrics

Bold distortions and twists, rigid shaping

Architectural men’s style silhouette with tailored shapes

Symmetrical into a subtle asymmetrical

Folding and unfolding sharply and reveallingly

Geometric shapes juxtaposed with organic influences

Textures / Materials:

Androgynistic feminine presence,

Elegant and smooth, invigorating  combinations

Spontaneous layering.

Fabrics hold affluence and substance;

Inside and outside context

Print Development:

Graphic blurring lines and layers illusion

Rippled shine and the crossing of lines

Placement collages with aspects of sexuality

Knit Direction:

Repeptitive hairy hedonistic satire

Masculine yet feminine

Points of induction where organic rows are rippling

Colours:

Washed out

Dark shades used for definition/detail

Accent colours bring chills and warmth in accent.

Shine will give the collection lavish highlights

Minimalistic representation.
